Standard fences cover a wide range of customers, from residential to commercial and are made of standard concrete. The lifespan of all Konkret Line fences is over 60 years.
Industrial fences are intended for companies, logistics centers, industrial parks, factories, agricultural farms, military units, etc. For customers who are looking for utility and do not want to pay extra for an impeccable appearance, Konkret Line sells industrial fences at competitive prices, with long lengths and quick assembly.
Additional costs may exist when the new fence installation requires the demolition of the existing fence or other work not related to the installation of the fence. The final price of the fence is determined by the fence components (panels + posts), transportation, and installation.
The prefabricated concrete fence is cheap. Comparisons with other fences:
- A wooden fence with a concrete base takes 15-25 working days to construct with a team of 3-4 people. Wood is a perishable material that requires periodic maintenance with high costs (paint, repairs, replacements, labor). It is very sensitive to freeze-thaw cycles that permanently weaken it, with an inevitable result: wood rotting.
- A brick fence is very expensive in terms of materials. Basically, you can build a house from the amount of bricks needed. The construction time is very long, over 30 working days, and the labor is very expensive. The inherent cracks that appear in its rigid structure due to expansion/contraction will deepen with the help of rain. This turns into a financial nightmare for the owner. In addition, its weight requires a foundation similar to that of a house.
- The fence made of mesh or metal elements does not provide any protection against burglary, it does not ensure the privacy of the property. The price of iron is very high, on top of which you can add the periodic painting costs.
How to install a precast concrete fence
The precast concrete fence can be installed in 2 variants: on Insulated foundations at each post at each post or on a continuous concrete base. Precast concrete fences are generally installed on individual concrete bases. This is the most advantageous variant in terms of price and execution time.
Insulated foundations at each post
The precast concrete fence can be installed on insulated foundations (individual pedestals or pads) made of concrete. The usual dimensions of insulated foundations are 40x40x80 cm. Konkret Line recommends, when possible, this type of installation with the pedestals hidden in the ground and the first panel partially buried (5-10 cm).
This type of installation is discreet, enhances the value of the fence and has a lower price.
Continuous concrete base
The precast concrete fence can be mounted on a continuous reinforced concrete base. The usual dimensions of the continuous base are 20×70 cm, and of the posts foundations are 40x40x80 cm. The dimensions may vary depending on the soil structure, the weight of the fence, the difference in level between the inside and outside of the yard, wind exposure, etc.
This type of installation is preferable on more difficult terrain and has a higher cost. We recommend using the Bottom Cover panel, which protects the base from erosion and ensures a complete finish of the fence.
